The following news release was issued at 11 am on Thursday from the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept.:
SAVANNAH, GA (September 25, 2008): Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are seeking the public s assistance in identifying a man police believe to be responsible for two robberies yesterday. In both cases, the man reached over the counter and grabbed money out of the cash register before fleeing on foot.
In each case, the suspect, a white male, in his 30 s with a stocky build, about 6 to 6 3 wearing a red baseball cap and white T-shirt entered the store, approached the counter acting like he was going to make a purchase
