PHOENIX (AP) - The state's new speed photo enforcement program is under way.
The Department of Public Safety says three camera units were deployed Friday. The first locations included sites along Interstate 10 in west Phoenix and State Route 51 in north Phoenix.
DPS Lt. James Warriner says speeding vehicles triggered one unit's cameras 110 times during a 2 1/2-hour period Friday morning.
The contractor will add a handful of additional mobile units weekly until the total reaches 40 by the end of November
