A gunman broke into a house on Ottumwa Avenue on Saturday in Fort Myers, threatened a young mother and her infant child and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Thats according to a report prepared by Lee County Sheriffs deputy Ryan Mackinnon., who said the incident happened around 7:30 p.m.
The 25-year-old mother said she was in the residence when an unknown male wearing pantyhose over his face entered through the unlocked front door, pointed the gun at her as she held her infant son and demanded the money.
The victim said she retreated to the master bedroom, where the suspect followed her, sifted through dresser drawers and stole the money. He did not touch other items, such as a cell phone and camera. He then left and fled in a mini-van, entering the passengers seat.

The videotape is the first concrete evidence that Gadahn, the California-born Al-Qaida spokesman, was not killed in a Predator attack in North Waziristan in February, as some publications had speculated. Prior to the release of the videotape this weekend, Gadahn had not been seen or heard from since January 6. Thats when Gadahn released a videotape that threatened President Bush with bombs and booby traps during a visit to the Middle East, and when the Al Qaida propagandist ripped up his U.S. passport on camera and denounced his U.S. citizenship.
The FBI bulletin also predicts more messages from Al Qaida in the coming weeks. 'We expect Al Qaida to release additional messages before the election' for U.S. president, the FBI/DHS notice said
